Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ayman El-Shehaby, Dean of the Faculty, the Annual Clothing Exhibition was held.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Gamal Abdel Aziz, Vice Dean for Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ali Abdel Aziz, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, in support of student activities and the provision of community services for the benefit of students and members of the wider community.

Students of the Faculty of Engineering – Shoubra Win Top Prizes at the 4th Scientific Conference for Applied Sciences at Benha University

On the sidelines of the 4th Scientific Conference for Applied Sciences organized by Benha University, the 4th Student Conference was held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, with wide participation from students across the university's scientific faculties. Students presented innovative research and projects that demonstrated their academic skills and research directions in applied fields.

The Faculty of Engineering – Shoubra contributed eight distinguished student research papers in the field of artificial intelligence and its applications in engineering systems. These papers were evaluated by specialized scientific committees, and the results led to the nomination of four research papers from the Communication and Computer Engineering Program (New Programs) to compete for the top three spots at the university level.

The Results of the Competition:

First Place:

  • Research Title: "Advanced Automotive Safety Mechanisms Connected With Mobile Application"

Second Place (and Tied Second Place):

  • Research Title: "Talkin’ Hands (Say it sign)"

  • Prepared by: Bassant El-Tounsy Ali Ahmed, Mirna Badr Ibrahim Atteya, Mariam Khaled Mohamed Ali, Mohamed Yasser Ismail Mosleh – 4th Year

  • Research Title: "Speaking Glove: Real-Time Sign Language Translator"

Third Place:

  • Research Title: "Intelligent Street Lighting System Using V2I"

  • Prepared by: Youssef Hossam Abdel-Fattah Abdel-Ghafar, Youssef Sherif Badawy Said, Youssef Sami Hassan Mohamed, Mahmoud Magdy Mahmoud Ali, Hagar Emad Abdel-Qader Khafagi – 4th Year

  • Supervised by: Prof. Dr. Mai Salama

A scientific committee chaired by Prof. Dr. Gamal El-Sayed Abdel-Aziz, Dean of the Faculty, and consisting of Prof. Dr. Lamia El-Rifai and Prof. Dr. Hana El-Aboumagd, supervised the submission, review, and evaluation of the faculty’s student research.
