My dear sons and daughters, students of the Electrical Engineering Department, and our esteemed graduates and visitors,

With the dawn of a new academic year, it gives me great pleasure – on behalf of the department's family, including faculty members, teaching assistants, administrative staff, and employees – to welcome you all. I wish you an academic year filled with diligence, hard work, achievement, and abundant opportunities that will hone your abilities and open new horizons for excellence and innovation.

The Electrical Engineering Department is considered one of the vital and leading departments in the college, representing one of the most diverse and evolving engineering specializations. It is a field that witnessed the fastest growth rates during the last century and continues to lead the march of technological development to this day.

The department contributes to preparing distinguished engineering cadres capable of keeping pace with global developments in the fields of power and electrical machines engineering, electronics and communications engineering, computer systems engineering, and intelligent control systems. The department is keen on continuously updating its educational programs and developing its research laboratories to align with the requirements of the job market and to keep pace with the massive national projects witnessed by Egypt.

The department's educational programs have been carefully designed to provide students with solid theoretical knowledge and advanced practical capabilities, thus meeting the needs of the job market and qualifying them to efficiently engage in governmental and industrial institutions, and contribute to supporting national development. The department also strives to instill values of discipline, innovation, and a sense of belonging in its students, so that they may always be distinguished ambassadors in the fields of industry and scientific research.

The department offers integrated and high-quality engineering education at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, enabling graduates to:

• Effectively contribute to technical, professional, and administrative projects in business, industry, and government sectors.

• Practice effective communication skills in engineering and professional matters.

• Provide technical expertise to serve the community, and participate in scientific research locally and globally.
